Enjoy the return of spring during Tulips, Fairies & Friends at Botanica, The Wichita Gardens. This is the second year for the event that was created to help Botanica celebrate its 25th anniversary. This year marks the beginning of the Fairy House Competition, where the public is invited to build their own fairy house for a chance to win one of several prizes. A host of performers, activities and crafts are happening 10 a.m.-4 p.m every Saturday from March 23 to April 13. For more information, contact Kristin Marlett, kmarlett@botanica.org, or 316.264.0448.

Fearless knights, fair maidens, falconers and magicians will fill Sedgwick County Park for the Great Plains Fall Renaissance Festival, April 20-21. The festival creates a medieval village complete with re-enactors who take visitors on a time trip to the days of chivalry! There will be six event stages along with artisans and vendors.
