Exhibits kicks off with a "Final Friday" opening on the 25th with a live guitar performance by several notable guitarists from  7-10 p.m. Opening night is free. (donations accepted)  Exhibit features the Earliest Electric Guitars from the 1930's.

Features photographs from Latin American countries and focuses on the cultural differences between countries that share the “American” identifier. Examples of some of the countries represented are Mexico, Honduras, Guatemala, Peru and Costa Rica.  The artist reception will be held May 2 from 6-9 p.m. & will feature a presentation by Sonja Bontrager, Assistant Professor of Spanish and Foreign Language Department Chair at Newman University.

Larry Schwarm, the most prominent fine art photographer living in Kansas, is originally from Greensburg, KS.  Prompted by a middle-of-the-night telephone call from his parents, he hurried to this hometown, checked on his family, and began a series of photographs the morning after the devastrating tornado on May 4, 2007.  The Ulrich debuts Schwarm's newest series.

Traditionally, the Casbah was the walled quarter around north African cities. The word was made famous by none other than the Looney Tunes character, Pepe le Pew in 1954 with, “Come with me to ze Casbah.” Coming to be known as a sort of night club of Mediterranean origin, the Casbah is a gathering place for partiers who relish great food, song and dance. Our Evening at the Casbah will feature middle eastern ethnic dance compliments of Safira's Center for World Dance, the Museum of World Treasures Singers with a 'Taste of Casablanca', live magic of the orient, traditional fare of the region and a cash wine bar. This will be a mystical evening of incredible entertainment, wine and food that you won’t want to miss!
