Some of the tasks you will focus daily on include coordinating marketing and community events, assisting with the development, execution, and monitoring of email, digital, social media, and content marketing campaigns, creating original content, and being a creative problem solver.

Responsible for supporting the Vice President of Marketing and members of the marketing team in growing leisure, group and sports visitation, thereby enhancing the economic development of the City, County, Region and State.


  • Manage all projects in Wrike, the project management system, and work with all departments to keep projects updated
  • Coordinate daily maintenance of the events calendar, including communication with hosts to ensure accuracy of information
  • Organize monthly department meetings including drafting agenda
  • Coordinate weekly and monthly email marketing campaigns including writing copy, scheduling, testing, and database management
  • Create, proofread, and edit content for various marketing channels, ensuring consistent voice
  • Evaluate and monitor campaign performance on an ongoing basis by analyzing key metrics and creating comprehensive reports
  • Write content highlighting Visit Wichita programs and partners including press releases, blogs, social media content, and other projects as assigned
  • Work cross-departmentally with other staff as necessary to assist with operations efforts at various organization and community events
  • Add events to the online calendar
  • Organize photo, video and other creative assets
  • Prepare monthly marketing reports
  • Work with sales managers and other team members to establish creative briefs for new projects
  • Log marketing activities into the CRM database for reporting purposes
  • Support various departments as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Keen attention to detail, the ability to coordinate multiple tasks and meet deadlines


  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, communications, or a related field
  • 1-3 years of experience in marketing
  • Firm grasp on various marketing platforms, channels, and best practices, including social, digital, and email marketing
  • Must be a self-starter and able to independently move projects forward, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
  • Highly organized and detail oriented with ability to successfully manage projects and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to learn quickly, and work as part of a team
  • Knowledge of the Greater Wichita area including attractions, arts and cultural institutions, restaurants, festivals, and events
  • Advanced computer experience including Microsoft Office Suite
  • Must have strong analytical skills to analyze metrics and create reports
  • Must have a high level of creativity
  • Occasional travel may be required
