Wichita launches integrated website to define the Wichita experience
New gowichita.com delivers city information how and where visitors want it.
WICHITA, Kan., Dec. 2 - The Go Wichita Convention and Visitors Bureau has launched its new website to define the visitor experience in Wichita. Thanks to in-depth research and planning, the new website engages visitors with dynamic homepage content and makes planning a weekend in Wichita easier than ever.
"Go Wichita's new website is an alignment of industry best practices and user habit research designed to show the city's breadth and beauty," said Go Wichita President and CEO Susie Santo. "As more people go online to make travel decisions, it was imperative to have a user-friendly site to showcase Wichita's amenities."
Built for what visitors want
The new gowichita.com provides what guests want when they want it. After site traffic analysis and key-word research, Go Wichita developed a strategy to immediately highlight the city's top selling points. Directly on the home page, site visitors see relevant, time sensitive details of enticing Wichita activities.
"When people visit the site, Go Wichita wants to keep them there," Santo said. "They'll be able to find Wichita's must-do activities, discover dining hot spots and book their hotel all from one site."
Expanding and integrating
With more than 150 pages already and growing, the new gowichita.com is practically a Wikipedia of Wichita highlights. From the site, users can find a top-rated restaurant using embedded interactive Google Maps, see the restaurant's amenities and then research what others said about the location thanks to integrated TripAdvisor reviews. The new gowichita.com provides users with the most current travel research trends in a one-stop shop.
"Integrating the website with customer reviews and social media access was a top priority in the site's design," said Go Wichita Digital Manager Ryan Stoldt. "From the new gowichita.com, users can find activities near them, see what other people think and then keep the conversation going through on-site social channels."
