Historic Wichita trolley tour shifts departure point
(Wichita, Kan.) The starting point for the Historic Wichita Trolley Tour is moving to Go Wichita Convention & Visitors Bureau's Visitor Information Center, 515 S. Main, Suite 115, effective Sept. 10.
River City Trolley and Charter operates its Historic Wichita tour Thursday through Saturday utilizing a replica 1925 trolley mini-bus. The 1 1/2-hour, fully narrated tour travels past well-known and not-so-well-known historical sites and through the city's most distinguished neighborhoods.
By moving the departure point to the Go Wichita Visitor Information Center, passengers have the opportunity before and after the tour to learn about Wichita attractions. Previously the starting point was next to Gander Mountain.
"Historic tours are a mainstay in larger cities across the U.S. and around the world," said John Rolfe, Go Wichita president and CEO. "This sort of tour allows visitors to acquaint themselves with a city then branch out to see the attractions that catch their interest."
Tickets for the Historic Wichita tour are $10 and available to visitors and residents by reservation through River City Trolley and Charter, 316.773.1931 or http://www.rctrolley.com/.
