Today, tickets go on sale for the 52nd USA Boxing National Junior Olympics, which will take place June 24-29 at Century II Performing Arts & Convention Center in Wichita, Kansas. It will serve as a kickoff to what should be a successful summer for USA Boxing, as the Olympic Games Paris 2024 will begin in July 2024.
After successfully hosting the 50th anniversary of USA Boxing’s National Junior Olympics in 2022, Visit Wichita is excited to host the event again this summer. Expect to see the nation’s best up and coming boxers take to the ring in one of the oldest and most historic USA Boxing national tournament that has seen numerous Olympic medalists, such as Wichita native Nico Hernandez, an IBA Flyweight World Title holder, 2016 Olympic Bronze medalist and winner of the 2012 and 2013 National Junior Olympics. Others include 2020 Tokyo Olympic medalists Keyshawn Davis (Norfolk, Va.), Oshae Jones (Toledo, Ohio), Duke Ragan (Cincinnati, Ohio) and Richard Torrez Jr. (Tulare, Calif.).
“We’re thrilled to welcome USA Boxing and its athletes and fans to the Heart of the Country again this summer. It’s not only a thrilling event for people in the region to have the opportunity to attend, but it also brings positive economic impact to the city and emphasizes that Wichita is a tremendous sports city capable of hosting sporting events of all kinds and magnitudes,” said Josh Howell, vice president of sports development at Visit Wichita.
Competition will begin on June 24 and finish with the finals of the National Junior Olympics on June 29. Opening Ceremonies will take place June 23.
Daily tickets, weekly passes and finals tickets are now on sale through https://selectaseat.com/usaboxing. Ticket prices for both events are $10 per day; $50 for a weekly pass (which includes admission to finals); and $25 for finals only. Ages 7 and under are free.
“We are honored and excited to again welcome this prestigious sporting event to Wichita,” said Howell. “We encourage everyone to get tickets and make plans to join us to cheer on these amazing athletes.”
Another sporting event that will kick off in June in Wichita is the 2024 Athletes Unlimited Pro Softball AUX Competition, which take place June 10-25 at Wilkins Stadium on the Wichita State University campus. Wichita will also host the 2024 Wichita Open June 13-16 at Crestview Country Club.
