Wentworth joins Go Wichita marketing team
(Wichita, Kan.) - Go Wichita Convention & Visitors Bureau's new vice president of marketing, Cynthia Wentworth, is no stranger to the organization. She has served as a Go Wichita board member for three years and shared the vision of the organization prior to her VP role. "Serving on the board helped me have insight to the goals of Go Wichita," Wentworth shared. "Wichita has more to offer than most people know and I am excited to help shine that light on our community."
Prior to joining Go Wichita, Wentworth was director of community marketing for the city of Derby and Derby Public Schools where she worked with several community organizations on cohesively marketing the community.
Wentworth, prior to serving in Derby, had been responsible for public relations efforts during tragedies such as the aftermath of the Oklahoma City bombing, Hurricanes Katrina and Rita, and 9-11. She has 18 years of public relations experience and a background in marketing, business development, media relations and crisis management.
Wentworth is a graduate of Washburn University with a degree in Communications, and minors in Marketing and Business. Wentworth and her husband, Aldon, have three children Colton, Kaitlyn and Mason.
