For the first time, Wichita hosted Destination Midwest, Aug. 5-7, giving suppliers the opportunity to connect with industry peers and meeting professionals sourcing programs in the Midwest.

The conference kicked off Monday evening with a reception at the luxurious Hyatt Regency Wichita where conference delegates had the opportunity to network and enjoy cocktails and dinner.

Tuesday, guests began their full day of activities with one-on-one appointments at the hotel before embarking on their choice of one of four exclusive tours. Attendees caught a glimpse of some of the city’s dynamic and unique experiences offered to visitors including Riverfront Stadium, home of the Wichita Wind Surge; iconic Frank Lloyd Wright Allen House; nationally recognized Sedgwick County Zoo; as well as tasty shops and award-winning breweries.

The fun continued with a party, including buffet dinner, lawn games, pickleball and more at Chicken N Pickle, Wichita’s premier entertainment complex offering an array of indoor and outdoor activities for groups of every size. The evening concluded with a visit to Wichita's iconic Keeper of the Plains
