A Wichita tradition continues in downtown Wichita with Automobilia’s 24th Moonlight Car Show & Street Party happening July 14. With eight live bands and DJs playing at the same time, three food courts and vendor courts offering delicious treats and homemade goods, there’s a little something for everyone – not to mention, all the cars!
Here’s what to expect:
- Nearly 100,000 spectators celebrating almost 1,000 vehicles
- Events for kids
- Food courts
- Vendor courts
- Live music/entertainment
- Cars, cars, cars
This year, the organization will raise money for four charities: The Convoy of Hope, Cars for the Cause, The Arc of Sedgwick County and Starkey Foundation.
A new feature of this year’s show is Wichita’s Incredible Race, a week to celebrate local businesses and race against other teams in an effort to win a car. The race begins on July 14 and culminates on July 21 – Wichita’s birthday – in a rooftop party.
Wichita is a car city and offers numerous car shows each summer. Whether you’re looking for something model-specific or are just out to enjoy the rods and customs from around the region, keep an eye out for upcoming car shows around town.
