It’s quickly become one of the most delicious Wichita events of the year, giving locals and visitors a taste of an array of Wichita restaurants and regional breweries all in one location. Plan now to attend the third installment of the Air Capital Bacon and Beer Festival from 3-6:30 p.m. Saturday, April 28 at Hartman Arena, just north of Wichita in Park City.

The first year Hartman Arena held this festival, it underestimated the allure of bacon. An unexpected crowd of 700 attendees gobbled up all of the samples quickly. Last year, organizers loaded up on the bacon samples and added more craft beer to the event, attracting about 1,300 people.

This year organizers say to expect another excellent salute to the ultimate culinary match made in hog heaven. The 21 and older event will showcase bacon-themed dishes from a dozen local restaurants and nearly 75 different craft beers from regional brewers.
