Visit Wichita will host Small Market Meetings Conference, October 2-4 for the first time ever. Attendees are in store for an incredible experience with tasty tours, hands-on experiences and meeting opportunities with other destination marketing organizations.

The conference kicks off Sunday evening when meeting planners will be transported to Tanganyika Wildlife Park to enjoy dinner, drinks and immersive animal encounters at one of the country’s largest family-owned wildlife parks. In addition to Tanganyika, Wichita is home to the nationally recognized Sedgwick County Zoo, which is home to more than 3,000 animals.

Planners will begin their full day of activities Monday morning with scheduled appointments at Century II Performing Arts and Convention Center conveniently connected to the Hyatt Regency Wichita, which boasts meeting space and more than 300 luxurious rooms. After lunch, they’ll embark on one of five tours of their choice. From Frank Lloyd Wright’s Allen House to stops at some of Wichita’s sweetest spots, award-winning breweries, zoo and more, planners will be given a glimpse into some of the dynamic and unique experiences offered to visitors in the Air Capital of the World. Registration for the tours is on a first-come, first served basis, and begins at noon on Sunday at check-in.

Monday’s events will wrap up with Visit Wichita’s VIP Night at Museum of World Treasures where meeting planners can nibble on tasty appetizers and peruse the museum’s expansive collection of historic artifacts. Dinner and drinks will be served at River City Brewing Co. before delegates are taken to view Wichita’s iconic Keeper of the Plains.
