2025 Prairie Fire Spring Prairie Half Marathon, 5K & Mayor's Friendly 5K

Half Marathon

The Prairie Fire Spring Half Marathon is a USATF Certified Race (new course has been certified. We are waiting to receive the number). This single loop begins north of Century II then heads west toward Friends University. From there, runners pass through the historic Delano District before running along the river and through Riverside Park, Oak Park, and Sim Park.

5K

The Prairie Fire Spring 5K is USATF Certified Race (new course has been certified. We are waiting to receive the number), single loop design. The race begins north of Century II, heads south along the river, and then loops back north towards Riverfront Stadium. Runners will take in the sights of the historic Delano District before heading to the finish line.

Friendly 5K

Are you looking for a great way to get involved on race day, but not interested in a competitive race? The Friendly 5K is the race for you!

A perfect option for a child and parent, you and your bestie, a couple, or any twosome that wants to enjoy the race experience without the pressure of racing the clock.

In this untimed event, participants will utilize our 5K course, receive a race shirt, and a shiny finisher’s medal after crossing the line. All levels are encouraged to participate. Run, jog, or walk your way to our spectacular finisher’s party and celebrate with us on race day.

B2B

Participants MUST complete running in the 5K or Half Marathon events on May 4th to qualify for the 5K, Half, or Full B2B in the Fall. Participants must complete the Spring & Fall races to be eligible for commemorative items. 2025 B2B registrants will receive a Prairie Fire Branded Jacket, ($100 Value) at the fall race. Registration alone will not release race amenities.

• Participants must be 16 years of age (and have parental consent with a signed waiver).
• Participants WILL receive their first commemorative B2B bib and event t-shirt for the race they are running at the Spring packet pick up.
