With galleries brimming with French modern masterpieces—Monet, Matisse, and Renoir—the Art Garden Lunch & Learn will consider Versailles, French garden design, and the continuing legacy of France on gardens today. The French created gardens of epic delights, and the French design philosophy and plant choices continue to inspire awe. Lori Guthridge is the Landscape Architecture Studio Lead and Vice President at GLMV Architecture in Wichita. She will selectively survey French gardens and their design principles. She promises to offer ideas for how today’s gardens and gardeners can carry forward and incorporate design ideas from France and England as well. As WAM welcomes our third season with the new Art Garden, we welcome Lori Guthridge for this informative talk on gardening. Cost is $25 per person. Reservation deadline is Tuesday, April 17. Tickets online at wichitaartmuseum.org/events or mail to Art Garden Luncheon, Wichita Art Museum, 1400 West Museum Boulevard, Wichita, KS 67203.
