Art on a Monday with Anne Kraybill

11:30 AM, October 3, 2022 | Wichita Art Museum

Join the Friends of the Wichita Art Museum for a lunch and lecture with Anne Kraybill, WAM’s new Director/CEO Early in Anne Krabill’s career, she realized there were a lot of anecdotal stories about the inherent value of art museums but little empirical evidence. Art museums preserve and care for works of art, but what is the impact of art museums upon society and community? During her tenure at Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art in Bentonville, Arkansas, she had the opportunity to answer these questions by partnering with researchers from the University of Arkansas to conduct groundbreaking research measuring the impact of field trips for K-12 students. Anne will share the findings of this research and how it has shaped her leadership as an art museum director.

RSVP deadline is Monday, September 19. Capacity is limited and advance tickets are required. Tickets are $35 per person and may be purchased online at wichitaartmuseum.org/artonamonday or by mailing a check payable to Friends of the Wichita Art Museum, PO Box 780223, Wichita, KS 67278-0223.
