Ballet Wichita celebrates its 45th season with the premiere of the Nutcracker.
This holiday family favorite based on the 1816 book by E.T. A Hoffman, is adapted by McLeod making the First Act exciting and the Second Act soul stirring! Come see how we honor one of the great classics while finding new colors of movement to Tchaikovsky's music. The production features the Ballet Wichita Symphony Conducted by Wes DeSpain, Wichita State University's Nick Johnson as Drosselmeyer, Special Guests from Wichita, a cast of over 100 local and regional dancers, and Internationally traveled Guest Artists from New York and across the country on the largest stage in Kansas.
The show is suitable for ages 3 years and up.
