As an annual tradition in Wichita, this car show represents a locally-support event for car lovers of all ages and is one of the longest-running indoor car shows in the country. This year, the event celebrates 61 years. It was started in 1957 by Darryl Starbird and purchased by a non-profit agency, Cars for Charities Co. in 2011. Now, 12 local car guys who share a passion for charities and cars come together to raise money each year. All proceeds go to the ARC of Sedgwick County, a non-profit dedicated to improving the lives of individuals with disabilities, and Starkey, a non-profit that serves people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
