WAM has cancelled or postponed public museum events through Sunday, May 10 following yesterday's (3/16/2020) advisory from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC). The CDC recommends that for the next 8 weeks (through Sunday, May 10), organizers (whether groups or individuals) cancel or postpone in-person events that consist of 50 people or more throughout the United States. - Wichita Art Museum
WAM is excited to offer more ways to learn about the exhibition "Preston Singletary: Raven and the Box of Daylight" with our amazing docents. Come for a Sunday or Tuesday afternoon tour when the crowds are smaller and join in great conversation and exploration during a one-hour tour. Drop-in tours depart from the S. Jim and Darla Farha Great Hall. No reservations required. Free to WAM members or with paid admission to Preston Singletary exhibition.
Due to construction, WAM's main entrance is closed. Enter the museum on the east side of the building through the Living Room doors. Look for the Tom Otterness sculpture Dreamer's Awake near the doors to the temporary entrance. In addition to WAM's parking lot, visitor parking is available across Museum Boulevard south of the museum.
