On the first Thursday evening of every month enjoy extended hours and reduced admission at the Museum! Admission is only $5(+tax) on Family Night from 5 - 7 p.m. Children under four are free!
Grab the kids and take a trip back in time for an educational adventure in the Creatceous period. Meet Ivan, one of the most complete Tyrannosaurus rex skeletons in the country. He stands 38 feet, nine inches long and would have weighted more than five tons! You can also learn about European dynasties and see if you have what it would have taken to be royalty back in the Dark Ages through the Modern Era. Learn about the Berlin wall and see a chunk of it, weighing 4.5 tons, standing 12 feet high right in the middle of the museum! If you can't make it out on family night, be sure to mark your calendars for the Smithsonian Museum Day Live! Find out those details here.
