In-Store Event with Laurie Dove

06:00 PM, January 23, 2025 | Watermark Books & Café

Watermark Books & Café is excited to welcome Wichita area native Laurie Dove to celebrate her debut novel Mask of the Deer Woman. In this new thriller, ex–Chicago detective Carrie Starr has nowhere to go but back to her roots. Starr’s father never talked much about the reservation where he was raised, but the tribe needs a new marshal as much as Starr needs a place to call home. Before writing her first novel, Laurie L. Dove founded and ran a media company for two decades and served as a reporter and editor for several publications. She has a long history of public service, culminating with her election as mayor of Valley Center, Kansas, in 2015. This event will be held in-store on Thursday, January 23rd at 6pm, and is free. Books will be available for purchase at Watermark Books & Café, and a Q& A and signing will follow. We hope to see you there!
