Jose Andre Montano, 13, may have been born blind and with cerebral palsy, but it is his natural ability as a musician that has everyone's attention. Hailed as a jazz prodigy, he has performed at such famed venues as the Kennedy Center in New York City and the World Bank in Washington, D.C. He has also played piano in his native Bolivia as well as Peru, Brazil and Mexico. He also composes music and, if that wasn't enough, speaks three languages.
The community is invited to his performance at the WSU Metroplex. For his Wichita Family Concert, Jose will be accompanied by local musicians Kirk Russell on drums and Jordan Bollig on bass.
Tickets are $10 in advance or $15 at the door. They can be purchased here: http://www.envisionus.com/Montano-Concert
