LUNAFEST 2021

Doors at 7pm, June 26, 2021 | Naftzger Park

LUNA has always believed in the power of women. From the beginning, we knew women had a role to play in shaping the future of the film industry so in 2000, LUNAFEST was born. LUNAFEST was the first all-women traveling film festival to hit the screens and amplify the voices of strong women everywhere. The first event was small, but hopeful, screening in California. Today, there are screenings in more than 175 cities across the nation where the work of talented women filmmakers are showcased.

For the past 20 years, we’ve celebrated a powerful and diverse set of women filmmakers and given their short films a national platform. Our first event was a small but hopeful screening in California. Since then, we’ve celebrated and shared the work of 170 women filmmakers, raising over $6 million for local women’s causes. Now our unique platform travels to over 200 cities each season. The 2021 Season features seven (7) short films with a total running time of 86 minutes.

The event is open to all genders. Films feature strong women, powerful images, and impactful language. Stories reflect the diverse perspectives of the filmmakers and their subjects. May contain content that is not suitable for children or teens. RECOMMENDED VIEWING AGES 16+
