The screening series will launch on May 11- Mother’s Day Weekend – in a intimate 30 seat living-room style theater. mamafilm will present two ticketed film programs per month (select films will screen twice, when available.) Attendees may bring their own food and drink, and patron other Revolutsia tenants including Boards, Prost and Little Lion.
Screenings will be followed by conversation, and mamafilm will seek to collaborate with other area non-profit organizations and associated groups, based on the theme of each film, to create more meaningful post-film discussions.
These screenings are designed to create community amongst Wichita mamas, generate excitement about the local, small businesses who populate Revolutsia, and provide a unique entertainment option for nurturers, caregivers and cinema lovers.
mamafilm will pilot its screening series in partnership with Bokeh Development and LivingSound to create a six-month micro-cinema experience in a shipping container structure at Revolutsia (2721 E. Central.) Thank you to our presenting sponsor Fidelity Bank. Additional support comes from Not Dead Yet Vintage, KMUW and Wichita Mom’s Blog.
