Southern Rhone-A-French Affair

The Rhone region of France is a large and prestigious area for great quality wines. The north is where Syrah resides but the south is where Grenache and Grenache based blends are king. For this class we will look at some history of the establishment of important AOCs within the south as well as taste from the most important regions. Think Chateauneuf-du-Pape, Gigondas, Vinsobres, Vacqeyras, Rasteau, Cairanne, Bandol, Provence, and others. Must be 21 to enroll. Guests are encouraged to bring food to enjoy with their wine.
