The Tierney Sutton Band presented by Wichita Jazz Festival

The final day of the 2024 Wichita Jazz Festival ends with a bang with The Tierney Sutton Band!

With a recording and touring history spanning over 20 years and 9 CDs, The Tierney Sutton Band is known for their imaginative and groundbreaking treatments of well-known songs and received a Grammy nomination for “Best Instrumental Arrangement Accompanying Vocals”, the first band ever to receive this honor. The Tierney Sutton Band is comprised of Sutton and instrumental virtuosos Kevin Axt, Clarence Penn, Trey Henry, and Christian Jacob.

Proceeds from this concert support the Wichita Jazz Festival, a non-profit organization dedicated to celebrating the history and legacy of jazz music. Since 1972, the Wichita Jazz Festival has been encouraging and developing the next generation of musicians and building on the love for one of the oldest genres of music in the world.
