    Wichita Asian Festival

Immerse yourself in the Asian culture with the Wichita Asian Association’s annual Asian Festival at Century II Convention & Exhibition Hall in downtown Wichita.

The event features nearly 15 stage performances highlighting different aspects of Asian culture, including more than 11 countries represented by the contestants in the Miss Wichita Asian Festival.

Shop until you drop and get a taste for authentic Asian food with more than 50 vendors offering everything from gourmet dishes to handmade, artisan items.

Patrons can enjoy exhibits of traditional Asian clothing from various countries while artists paint intricate Henna tattoos and other designs on hands and faces. There’s even a special section for kids, where your children will have a chance to play traditional Asian games and create crafts you can take home.

The Wichita Asian Festival aims to promote cultural awareness among various Asian groups, create an appreciation for the different ethnicities within the Wichita community and provide a way to keep the expression of Asian cultural arts alive.

Wichita Asian Association was founded in 1981by volunteers wanting to share their culture with the city. The popular festival has attracted patrons representing 48 countries to bring their art, culture and religion to the forefront of the festival.
