Great Plains Renaissance Festival

Immerse yourself in history as you travel to a medieval village with characters in costume ready to take you and your family on a trip through time to the days of chivalry. Knights will go head-to-head in battle, whether it be during a jousting match or heavy weaponry combat.

Vendors will have their trade on display and many show demonstrations on how to make goods like chain mail and armor. Enjoy gourmet faire food like turkey legs, mead, grog and other familiar delicacies. The kids will love to interact with a real king and queen, playing games, throwing axes and getting their faces painted.

The Great Plains Renaissance Festival in Wichita happens in the spring and the fall with similar events during both weekends.

Don't miss the Scottish Highland Games Championships bringing professional athletes to Wichita from all over the world.
