Disc Golf in Wichita
Wichita is ranked by UDisc as the 16th best disc golf destination in the United States and the second best in Kansas. There are currently 17 disc golf courses around the Wichita area with a variety of layouts and options for all skill levels.
Similar to golf, disc golf uses the same scoring systems and objectives, except players throw discs into baskets. Disc golf has been around since the 1970s and unlike traditional golf, courses are generally free and one can play anytime. Disc golf is a game for all ages and a healthy form of exercise.

Six disc golf courses in Wichita are managed by Wichita Park & Recreation and are free to play (players bring their own equipment). View layouts at wichita.gov. The newest course is 9-holes at Evergreen Park that opened in 2021 and was designed with assistance from the Disc Golf Association.
