It's one of the biggest music festivals of the year, ICT Fest brings together local and regional artists to downtown Wichita. Since 2004, ICT Fest has been about the music, community and fun with a purpose of bringing great musicians together to share crowds and ideas. While the entertainment is mostly local and regional names, organizers also try to bring in nationally traveling acts to add to the diverse sounds.
The festival used to be held in the summertime in June and July, but moved to September in 2013. Since then, the three-day festival has happened at several venues around Wichita, with two venues needed last year (DIYMCA and the ICT Pop-Up Urban Park).
This all ages event brings different genres of music to downtown Wichita including noise rock, pop, punk, hip-hop, electronica, grunge and much more. ICT Fest is free to attend, thanks to local sponsorship and community support.
