Submit an Event

Are you wishing to have your event featured on our event calendar? Great! We’re always looking to share exciting things to do with Wichita visitors.

Before submitting your event, please review calendar policy below carefully.

Calendar Policy

Events must be open to the public and have visitor appeal. Think: “Would I want to do this if I were on vacation?”
Fields on the event submission form with an asterisk (*) are required.
Events must be submitted with a high-resolution photo (minimum size 1900x760, jpg or png); you must have full rights to use any images you submit for promotional purposes.
Photos or images that have text (such as logos, posters, flyers, etc.) will not be approved as they do not crop properly or display well across the site and do not provide a good user experience.
Please use proper punctuation. Do not use all caps. Example: Please don’t submit your event is “FREE!”
Please do not use emojis.
Please allow 5-7 business days for event approval.

Events not likely to be approved include but are not limited to:

Most events held outside of the greater Wichita area
Most fundraisers
Meetings, workshops, networking and membership-only events
Religious and political events
Most book signings
Most business “Grand Openings”
Regular happy hours
Deals, discounts and promotions for businesses

Please note: Your event will not automatically be added to the calendar. It will first go through an approval process to make sure it meets Visit Wichita’s calendar policy. You’ll be notified once your event is approved. Visit Wichita reserves the right to approve or deny any submitted events and make any minor edits to event information as needed. We frequently add events to our calendar, so please check to see if your event is already included.

As a reminder, by submitting imagery with your event, you acknowledge you have full rights to use those images for promotional purposes. You are also granting Visit Wichita the rights to use the imagery for promoting Wichita as a convention and visitor destination in any of Visit Wichita’s promotional and marketing materials.
