History

It was built to replace the old Kansas Coliseum located just north of Wichita that closed down in 2007. The arena opened January 2010 and was quickly voted “Best Arena” and “Best Locker Rooms” in the CHL’s annual “Best of the Best” poll three months later. The arena took third in the “Best Press Box” category that same year.

The arena has hosted large-scaled sporting events like the Midwestern & Pacific Coast Synchronized Skating Sectional Championships, NCAA Division I Women’s Basketball Tournament and NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Tournament, ECHL All-Star Classic and US Figure Skating Theatre on Ice. Metallica has set the all-time attendance record for a single-concert hosting 15,690 fans in a sold-out show on March 4, 2019.

INTRUST Bank Arena is home to the Wichita Thunder Hockey Team and Wichita Force CIF (indoor arena football) team. The Wichita State Basketball team uses the space as an alternative court to draw in more fans to the area. INTRUST has also presented sports like Pro Bull Riding, Monster Jam, MMA special events and WWE wrestling.

Seating Options

INTRUST Bank Arena has 22 suites, 40 loge boxes and more than 300 premium seats, making it the premier arena in the Midwest. It is one of the largest arenas in the state of Kansas, only second to Allen Fieldhouse in Lawrence.

Premier Seating allows premium seating owners the option for pre-sale tickets ahead of events. Each premium seating ticket comes with access to the Cox Lounge, a private bar and concession stand, as well as a seating area accessible by wristband.

Club seats purchased in groups of four come with on-site parking passes and an in-seat food and beverage service. This option is great for business associates and groups of families and friends. For a private experience during concerts and events, loge boxes offer comfortable leather chairs and personal loge box attendant service.

Executive suites are available to guests who prefer a private “at-home” experience for up to 16 people. Suites owners will have access to a private bar called Fusion Fifty-Four, a flat screen TV, ability to pre-order food and drinks, three parking passes, suite attendant service and a coat closet. Those looking for a more party-atmosphere will love the party suites. These rooms also have access to Fusion Fifty-Four and all the amenities of Executive Suites. With two-dozen leather chairs and two 50-inch flat screen TVs, this is a great way to entertain large groups at Wichita’s largest event venue.

Individuals and businesses may be able to rent suites and loge boxes depending on the event. Interested parties must fill out a Suite Rental Information Request Form ahead of the event they are wishing to attend. Fees include ticket prices, rental fees and money toward food and drinks.

Parking

Located in the heart of downtown Wichita, the arena offers more than 4,000 nearby parking spaces with public and private parking available. Several private parking lots sell spots during big events to keep patrons close to the facility.

Tickets to events can be found on INTRUST Bank Arena’s website through Select-A-Seat, over the phone or in-person at the arena box office.

Private bar options are also available for premium seating guests and suite owners, including specialty infused cocktails and restaurant-style table service. Wait staff will also take orders and deliver food to premium seats and suites.
