Do you have basketball fever and want to experience the most energetic party in Wichita for free? Don’t miss out on Fan Fest at Naftzger Park, just northeast of INTRUST Bank Arena on Thursday, March 20 through Saturday, March 22. Festivities are expected to run each day from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., depending on game times.
You don’t need championship game tickets to enjoy this event. Indulge in beer in the designated Fan Fest area or grab delicious dishes from one of six food trucks that will be on site each day.
Get in the game with basketball activities or watch your favorite teams compete on the huge digital board. With multiple seating areas, a live DJ, yard games, plenty of photo opportunities, there’s something for everyone packed into this exciting three-day fan event.
On Thursday and Saturday, pep bands and cheer squads will perform in the park. On Friday, a mini pep rally with team mascots will get the crowd excited.
Keep the energy going all week and visit these other lively fan zones happening in downtown Wichita. South of the stadium, you’ll find Party Out Front – complete with TVs, food, a mobile bar and VIP Lounges. Pop-up bar Shot Clock at the Railhouse will start with a watch party from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Selection Sunday, March 16. The festivities will begin again at this party spot on March 19, running through March 22.
The ESPN Fan Zone will be situated to the east of Fan Fest in Naftzger Park and will have games playing and the fun flowing. Taking place March 19-22, enjoy local beer and wood-fired pizzas from Wichita Brewing Co. at the Wichita Brewing Party Garden.
