Somewhere in Winter

Lace up. Get cozy. Give winter a reason to show off. Somewhere in Winter returns to downtown Wichita Nov. 26, 2026, through Jan. 2, 2027, with outdoor ice skating, heated igloos and holiday fun for all ages.

Take a spin around the rink, reserve an igloo for your crew and browse new night markets featuring local food and retail vendors on select weekends.

Santa visits: Bring your wish list and your best smile. Santa stops by Nov. 27 and Dec. 19 from 6 to 8 p.m. for free photo opportunities.

Admission is free, with separate charges for ice skating and igloo rentals. Find the festivities at Second and St. Francis streets and check the event website for operating hours and reservation updates.

New this year, Somewhere in Winter will introduce a series of Saturday Holiday Night Markets, bringing together local food and retail vendors for festive shopping, seasonal treats, and community gatherings. The markets will take place November 28 and December 5, 12, and 19, giving visitors additional opportunities to shop local.
