    Fall in Wichita

When the hot summer temperatures fade into a fresh, fall breeze, the leaves will begin to burst into beautiful reds, oranges and yellows. Autumn awakes many annual events and Halloween celebrations in Wichita.

    Haunted Houses

Are you looking for a spooky time or a fun way to celebrate Halloween? Book a ghost tour and visit one of Wichita’s most ghostly places or brave a popular haunted house. From historic buildings to haunted cemeteries and landmarks, Wichita is no stranger to tall tales from beyond the grave.

    Family-Friendly Fall Fun

If haunted houses aren’t your style, there are plenty of hayrack rides or corn mazes at places like Cox Farm and Applejack Pumpkin Patch. Walk through the mazes and tease your brain with questions and puzzles for all ages. Pick the perfect pumpkin for decorating with the family or join in all the extra activities like inflatables, carnival games, pony rides, a playground and free hayrack rides.

Don’t forget to check out the other fall events and festivals like Autumn & Art, a nationally renown alfresco art festival nestled in the gorgeous Bradley Fair shopping center. For a unique movie-viewing experience, head to the Tallgrass Film Festival to see up-and-coming productions, many of which were created by Kansans.

Go back to medieval times with the Great Plains Renaissance & Scottish Festival or immerse yourself in the culture and lifestyle of more than 14 countries at the Wichita Asian Festival. Watch the leaves change colors at one of more than 30 gardens at Botanica Wichita or take a stroll downtown on Final Friday to see the latest gallery displays and live art demonstrations.

No matter which way the wind blows, Wichita has awesome, interactive events for everyone. Check out what’s going on this week and find fun for the whole family.
