Baseball has long been woven into the fabric of American life, and now visitors can discover how the sport helped shape Wichita's story through Old Cowtown Museum’s new Historic Base Ball Exhibit.

Created as part of America’s 250th anniversary celebration, the exhibit highlights Wichita’s earliest baseball teams and explores the important role the game played in building community and challenging social norms. Guests will learn about integrated teams, women’s teams and Native American teams that made their mark on the sport during its formative years, often breaking barriers and paving the way for future generations.
