Friends University believes education is the pursuit of truth, and the classroom is only the first step in a student’s journey. Throughout its more than 100-year history in Wichita, Friends has built a solid foundation in the heart of the Air Capital. From the stage to the arena, its students aspire to greatness in all they do. Creative opportunities abound through an exemplary fine arts programs, where students find a stage to express their creativity through theatre, ballet, choral, instrumental and jazz programs. Athletic endeavors are played out on the many nationally ranked Falcon sports teams, including volleyball, men's and women’s basketball, softball and Wichita’s only collegiate football team. A strong academic programs honor its students’ quest for knowledge and understanding and emphasize the importance of social responsibility, goodwill and making the world a better place in wherever their journey leads. A contemporary curriculum offers practical, theoretical and experiential instruction; and it is constantly reviewing our curriculum to meet the needs to today’s students and their future employers. Friends offers bachelor’s and master’s programs for both the traditional student and adult learners. Some of its most well-known and unique programs include health sciences, ballet, zoo science, a master of science in family therapy, a master of science in operations management, and an MBA to name a few.
