Visit Wichita is inviting partners to contribute America250-themed blog content that highlights Wichita’s history, culture, people and community spirit.
Possible topics could include:
- Historical perspectives and local stories
- Wichita traditions and celebrations
- Arts, culture and culinary experiences
- Hidden gems and community favorites
- Partner spotlights and behind-the-scenes stories
- Ways visitors can experience Wichita during America250

Blog Submission Guidelines
To help ensure consistency and quality across the Wichita250 campaign, please review the following guidelines before submitting your content:
- Blogs should be between 500–1,000 words in length.
- Submitted photos should be 1200 x 800 pixels and at least 1900 pixels wide for the header images.
- Photos should not contain text, graphics or logos.
- Blog writers must have full rights to all submitted images.
- Content should align with the spirit of America250 and positively showcase Wichita and the surrounding community.
Please note:
Your blog submission will not be automatically published to the blog page. All submissions undergo a review and approval process to ensure they align with Visit Wichita’s blog policies and content standards. Once approved, please allow up to three business days for your blog to be published.
Visit Wichita reserves the right to:
- Approve or deny submitted blogs
- Make minor edits for clarity, grammar, style or formatting
By submitting imagery with your blog or event, you acknowledge that:
- You have full rights to use the submitted images for promotional purposes
- You grant Visit Wichita permission to use the imagery to promote Wichita as a convention and visitor destination across Visit Wichita marketing and promotional materials
