On the "First Friday" of every month, Wichita’s most popular art museums and art galleries open their doors for free admission to the latest shows and exhibits. In September, take a stroll around Bradley Fair for a unique alfresco art experience with Autumn & Art. This festival brings artists from all over the country sharing in an appreciation and love for creativity.
The Wichita Art Museum is one of the largest art museums in Kansas, housing popular works by Dale Chihuly, Mary Cassatt, Edward Hopper, John Steuart Curry, Winslow Homer and Charles M. Russell. Patrons can look at many of the exhibits for free each Saturday. The Ulrich Museum of Art at Wichita State University offers a nationally renowned collection of more than 6000 works of modern and contemporary art, free for all to peruse.
