Visit Wichita has added Jaimie Garnett to their organization as Vice President of Marketing. No stranger to community development and the promotion of Wichita, Garnett has nearly 15 years of experience in marketing and strategic communication. She has also spent 10 years advancing the Wichita community through various roles.
“I’m looking forward to getting to know the incredible team at Visit Wichita and serving my community in a new, impactful way,” said Garnett. “Over the years, I have energetically worked to promote and advance Wichita. I am excited to take that experience and integrate it here where it fits and build upon the existing positive marketing initiatives that already exist.”
In this role, Garnett will bring economic impact to Wichita by effectively marketing the area as a must-visit Midwest destination. She will oversee the marketing team and will lead strategy development, planning, coordination and implementation of all marketing activities.
Prior to joining Visit Wichita, she was the Sr. Manager, Digital Community & Content at Textron Aviation. Before this role, she led her own business consulting firm. Additionally, Garnett spent 10 years with the Greater Wichita Partnership and Downtown Wichita.

I can’t wait to share the energy this amazing city has with the region, nation and world, and believe my experiences in my career and passion to see Wichita thrive will allow me to add value to this great city and organization,” said Garnett.
Garnett received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Graphic Design from Kansas State University. Additionally, she is the recipient of a Wichita Business Journal 40 Under 40 nominee in 2015; and a Wichita American Marketing Association (WAMA) Marketer of the Year – Non-Profit Category in 2015; a Wichita Business Journal Marketer of the Year in 2021 and has been a part of teams that received International Downtown Association (IDA) Pinnacle awards and Southern Economic Development Council Awards. She has previously served on the Board of Directors for the Wichita Arts Council and Young Professionals of Wichita.
