Visit Wichita, in partnership with Envision, will host the National Beep Baseball Association (NBBA) World Series in 2027, marking the third time Wichita has welcomed the prestigious event and reinforcing the city’s reputation as one of the best sports host cities in the country. The series will take place July 20-24, 2027, at South Lakes Sports Complex.
“The National Beep Baseball Association is excited to return the World Series to Wichita in 2027,” said Darren Keepers, director of public relations and marketing for the NBBA. “Wichita has a history with our organization and has consistently demonstrated what it means to support adaptive sports at the highest level.”
The World Series will bring athletes who are blind or visually impaired from across the United States, Canada and beyond to compete for a national championship.

From community engagement to event operations, Wichita understands the impact this tournament has both on and off the field,” said Keepers. “We are looking forward to bringing the beep baseball community back to a city that has played an important role in our sport’s history and continuing to showcase the athleticism, competitiveness and passion of athletes who are blind or visually impaired.”
Wichita previously hosted the event in 1978 and again in 2021, and its return highlights Visit Wichita’s continued success not only in attracting new sporting events, but in building lasting relationships that bring events back year after year.

The sport of beep baseball uses an audible ball and bases to allow athletes to compete at a high level. It remains one of the most unique and inspiring adaptive sports, showcasing teamwork, athleticism and determination.
As with previous years, Envision will play a key role in supporting the event through community engagement, volunteer coordination and local partnerships. The organization’s leadership in serving individuals with vision loss makes Wichita a natural fit for the championship.

The tournament is expected to draw hundreds of athletes, coaches and fans, which is estimated to result in nearly $500,000 in economic impact through hotel stays, dining and local attractions.
