Visit Wichita is proud to announce the promotion of Courtney Scott to the position of convention sales manager, effective November 2025. She joined Visit Wichita as partnership coordinator in November 2024 and has spent the past year connecting with local businesses, welcoming visitors and supporting Wichita’s tourism partners.
In her role as partnership coordinator, Scott became a friendly and familiar face at Visit Wichita’s Visitor Center, providing top-notch customer service to guests and local partners alike. She played a key role in organizing partner events, maintaining strong relationships with local businesses and helping showcase all the incredible things to see and do in Wichita.
Now stepping into the convention sales manager role, Scott will focus on selling Wichita as a premier convention and meeting destination. She will work closely with meeting planners and event organizers across the country to bring major conventions, trade shows and meetings to the Heart of the Country.
“Courtney has consistently demonstrated passion for Wichita, a strong work ethic and the ability to build meaningful relationships – qualities that make her a perfect fit for this new role,” said Shannon Uhrig, director of partnership development at Visit Wichita. “We’re excited to see her bring that same enthusiasm and dedication to our sales team as we continue growing Wichita’s national reputation as a top-tier meeting and sports destination.”
As convention sales manager, Scott will represent Wichita at national trade shows, develop new business opportunities and collaborate with local hospitality partners to attract events that generate economic impact for the city.
