US Youth Soccer (USYS) has selected Wichita as the host city for the 2026, 2027 and 2028 National Presidents Cup, marking the first time the event will be held in Wichita, and in any single host city, for three consecutive years. This multi-year commitment is a testament to a strong relationship with USYS, community and state-level partnerships, Wichita’s central location and world-class facilities, such as SCHEELS Stryker Sports Complex, where all three events will be held.
Visit Wichita previously hosted the event in 2023 and 2024, earning high praise from athletes, coaches, families and event organizers alike.
“Wichita has proven to be an ideal host for our National Presidents Cup,” said USYS CEO Tom Condon. “With its top-tier venues like the SCHEELS Stryker Sports Complex, strong collaboration with Kansas State Youth Soccer and incredible support from city and state leaders, Wichita continues to raise the bar. We’re excited to return for the next three years.”
Over the three-year commitment, the event is projected to bring more than 6,000 players, coaches and officials, plus their families, to Wichita – generating an estimated $12 million in direct economic impact.
The announcement reinforces Wichita’s reputation as a thriving sports events host city. The SCHEELS Stryker Sports Complex, with its 11 all-turf fields and convenient access to hotels, restaurants and entertainment, is nationally recognized as one of the best facilities of its kind.
“This prestigious tournament’s commitment to Wichita is further proof that sports tourism is a growing sector for the state economy,” Lieutenant Governor and Secretary of Commerce David Toland said. “Kansas proudly welcomes US Youth Soccer to the heart of the country for another three years of championship-caliber competition.”
The original selection to host the event in 2023 was made possible through a collaborative effort by Visit Wichita, the City of Wichita, Kansas State Youth Soccer Association, Sedgwick County and the State of Kansas. After successfully hosting the Presidents Cup in Wichita two years in a row reinforced Wichita as the selection for 2026-2028.
"Our team is proud to continue our strong relationship with US Youth Soccer," said Josh Howell, vice president of sports development at Visit Wichita. "To be chosen as the host for three consecutive years is a remarkable honor and a reflection of the investments we've made in sports tourism and our facilities. It's also a testament to the relationships we've forged with US Youth Soccer and our amazing community partners."
The National Presidents Cup will be held in July of each year at SCHEELS Stryker Sports Complex. Additional event and travel details will be shared closer to each tournament.
