Illuminations at Botanica Wichita

Held in the main gardens at Botanica Wichita most nights from Nov. 18 through Jan. 1, Illuminations 2022 includes more than 2 million lights along a mile long pedestrian path. There are multiple light displays choreographed to music, a 240-foot-long walk-under tunnel of lights, candy cane lane and tree top forest in the Butterfly House, a funky tree that takes 80 hours to adorn with light sculptures, Santa's Village and so much more. Lights at Ability Point (formerly The Arc’s Lights)
Nov. 25-Dec. 27
Time: 5:30 to 9 p.m.
Admission: $10 per carload Fri-Sun; donations accepted every night. You can purchase tickets at local Quik Trip locations, $10 cash admission on site or online.
Location: Begins near the Arc of Sedgwick County, Douglas & St. Paul Streets (between Meridian & West St), Wichita, KS 67202
It’s a magical holiday wonderland you can experience without getting out of your car. Drive through this popular display and explore the Tunnel of Lights and more than 1.5 million sparkling Christmas lights. They have a variety of light displays, including new ones that include toy factories, trains, a penguin scene and much more. Plus, nearly all of the displays and features are handmade by their volunteers. This signature Wichita tradition raises money for youth and adults with developmental disabilities.

Reindeer Road is another street with many of the neighbors getting into the holiday spirit, and is right next to Candy Cane Lane! You won't miss the towering reindeer, ranging from 9-15 feet tall, in each yard's display.
Christmas at the McKinneys’
Nov. 24-Jan. 1
Time: 5:30-10 p.m. (weekends until 10:30 p.m.)

One of the favorite Christmas light displays in Wichita, Christmas at the McKinneys’ is a privately-owned home with a family that takes pride in holiday cheer. The show is open to the public and gets better each year. It is known to have a 150,000-light display that stretches across two homes as new neighbors gave the green light to have their yard decorated as well. Tune to 89.7 FM. Donations are accepted and are split between two charities, the Kansas Human Society and Human Kind (Interfaith Ministries). In the past, the Christmas lights show has raised thousands for the cause.
Christmas on Crestline

This award-winning Christmas lights show features more than 80,000 computerized lights set to music on 100.7 FM and new attractions each year. You will find Santa's workshop holograms, holiday cutouts for photo opportunities and more. Plus, due to popular demand, their special Kansas City Chiefs display will be back for all to enjoy. Drive to Christmas on Crestline to see all the goodies that are in store for the public! This animated light show has been a popular stop since 2012.
Lights on Longview

If you’re out early or up late, stop by Lights on Longview Ln. in east Wichita for a musically-charged Christmas light display. Tune in on your radio to 106.9 FM and enjoy many Christmas tune remixes that match the dancing lights. Lights on Longview lasts until midnight every night of the week. With more than 50,000 lights, this is one of Wichita’s favorite Christmas lights displays.
Carols on the Court

Carols on the Court is Wichita’s first full RGB interactive computer-animated light show, complete with more than 8,000 lights that can be individually controlled to change in brightness and color. Tune to 89.5 FM during show hours to hear the accompanying music - you can visit their website to vote for what song you want to hear next. Donations to the Wichita Children’s Home can also be made via the website.
Lights on David

After Halloween comes and goes, Lights on David lights up for the holiday season. This interactive light display can be heard on 106.9 FM. With colorful props, songs and fun each year, you won’t want to miss the 2022 Christmas celebration!
9th Street Lights

Lights on Brummett Street

With both Halloween and Christmas displays, Brummett Street lights up with Lights on Brummett every year to celebrate the holidays. Stop by this southwest Wichita neighborhood and tune into 104.1 FM for a musical light display that will delight the whole family.
Lights on Tawakoni

Just outside of town, between Andover and Augusta, you'll find a Christmas light display with nearly 70,000 lights covering 4 acres at Lights on Tawakoni. This display has been a holiday tradition for almost a decade and continues to get bigger each year. With features like a life-sized stagecoach being pulled by six horses, a flying Santa with reindeer, a sea monster, dinosaurs, two 30' trees and more, be sure to add this stop to your tour.
Magic of Christmas

The “Magic of Christmas” is a computerized light display synchronized to music and broadcast on 98.5 FM. This magical display features thousands of lights, an animated train, animated drumming soldiers, an animated 3-piece band, animated children with bells, a 25-foot mega tree, snowmen, leaping arches, lighted trees, strobes and more. Kids love it and parents do too!
The Marshall Family Christmas Lights
Dates: Nov. 24-Jan. 6
Time: 5:30-10 p.m. on school nights; 5:30-11 p.m. other nights

Join one local family as they bring the excitement of The Marshall Family Christmas Lights to east Wichita. With a Christmas performance beginning daily at 5:30 p.m., stop by and remember to tune in to 91.7 FM to hear the Christmas music that matches the lights. The display features more than 100,000 lights – all synchronized to music – and is free, but all donations go to support the Lord’s Diner and St. Anthony Family Shelter in Wichita.
Barnhart Family Christmas

This colorful display of hand-made holiday figurines is sure to light up your holidays and get you in the spirit of the holidays. You’ll want to drive by slowly so you don’t miss the many Christmas characters in this display. You’ll see Santa’s workshop, gingerbread, a nativity scene, a holiday train and much more.
Safari of Lights

This drive-thru holiday extravaganza at Tanganyika Wildlife Park is expected to be the longest, tallest, most sophisticated light show that Wichita has ever experienced. You can keep warm in the comfort of your car with hot cocoa and popcorn available for purchase upon entry. Tune in to 103.9 FM to enjoy choreographed light displays.

Located west of Wichita in Garden Plain, this light display features a 50-foot tall LED tree and a talking truck. You'll also find more than 65,000 lights - all computer controlled. You can watch from the comfort of your car or get out for photo opportunities. Plus, kids can put their letters in a drop box for Santa!
