Christmas cheer is about to descend on Wichita! Thanksgiving weekend is the kickoff to many holiday light displays in Wichita, and we’ve got the scoop on where to find them.
From elaborate displays to intricate shows set to music, there is a wide variety of entertainment for the whole family. Below is a list of some of the most popular neighborhood displays and Christmas lights in Wichita. Keep checking back as you plan your holidays in Wichita - we’ll continue to update this list.

Wichita's Most Popular Christmas Light Displays

Illuminations at Botanica Wichita
Nov. 22 - Jan. 3 (Closed to the public November 27, December 7, 17, and 25)
Time: Nightly time slots starting at 5:30; last time slot, 8:30 p.m.
Admission: $19 non-member adults; $15 member adults, military and seniors; $12 ages 3-12; free for children 2 and under
Location: Botanica Wichita, 701 Amidon St, Wichita, KS 67203
Held in the main gardens at Botanica Wichita most nights from Nov. 22 through Jan. 3, 2026, Illuminations 2025 includes more than 2 million lights along a mile long pedestrian path. There are multiple light displays choreographed to music, a 240-foot-long walk-under tunnel of lights, candy cane lane and a vibrant butterfly installation in the Butterfly House, a funky tree that takes 80 hours to adorn with light sculptures, Santa's Village and so much more. Tickets may be purchased at the door, but it is encouraged to purchase tickets online in advance through Botanica’s website as many nights sell out.

A Country Christmas

An old-fashioned holiday night on a real Kansas farm, featuring millions of lights, classic décor, Santa photos, warm cocoa and cozy fire pits. Many nights feature a live nativity experience and kid-friendly extras like small train rides or hay-wagon shuttles. Advance online ticketing is recommended.

Candy Cane Lane

Reindeer Road

Location: Start at 941 N Firefly St, Wichita, KS 67235
Reindeer Road is another street with many of the neighbors getting into the holiday spirit, and is right next to Candy Cane Lane! You won't miss the towering reindeer, ranging from 9-15 feet tall, in each yard's display.

Christmas at the McKinneys’
Nov. 27 - Jan. 1
Time: dark to 10 p.m. on weekdays and dark until 10:30 p.m. on Fri-Sat
Admission: Free, donations accepted
Location: 1452 N Coolidge, Wichita, KS 67203
One of the favorite Christmas light displays in Wichita, Christmas at the McKinneys’ is a privately-owned home with a family that takes pride in holiday cheer. The show is open to the public and you can tune in to 89.7 FM for tunes. Donations are accepted and are split between two charities, the Kansas Humane Society and Human Kind (Interfaith Ministries). In the past, the Christmas lights show has raised thousands for the cause.

Christmas on White Tail
Through Jan. 1
Time: 5:30-10:30 p.m.
Admission: Free
Location: 944 N. White Tail Cir.
Radio: Tune to 89.5
Christmas on White Tail features lights synchronized to Christmas and sports teams' songs along with humorous transitions. Unfortunately, the street is not suitable for buses.

Lights on Longview
Nov. 27 - Jan. 1
Time: Fri-Sat, 6pm-11pm Sun-Thurs, 6pm-10:30pm

If you’re out early or up late, stop by Lights on Longview Ln. in east Wichita for a musically-charged Christmas light display. Tune in on your radio to 106.9 FM and enjoy many Christmas tune remixes that match the dancing lights. Lights on Longview lasts until midnight every night of the week. With more than 50,000 lights, this is one of Wichita’s favorite Christmas lights displays.

9th Street Lights

With more than 30,000 dancing lights paired with music you can hear on 101.7 FM, this computerized light show goes along with Christmas classics like, “Carol of the Bells,” “Little Drummer Boy,” and “Joy to the World.” Be sure to add 9th Street Lights to your list of the best places to see Christmas lights in Wichita!

Lights on Brummett Street
Tentatively starting the weekend before Thanksgiving

With both Halloween and Christmas displays, Brummett Street lights up with Lights on Brummett every year to celebrate the holidays. Stop by this southwest Wichita neighborhood and tune into 104.3 FM for a musical light display that will delight the whole family.

Lights on Tawakoni

Just outside of town, between Andover and Augusta, you'll find a Christmas light display with nearly 70,000 lights covering 4 acres at Lights on Tawakoni. This display has been a holiday tradition for almost a decade and continues to get bigger each year. With features like a life-sized stagecoach being pulled by six horses, a flying Santa with reindeer, a sea monster, dinosaurs, two 30' trees and more, be sure to add this stop to your tour.

Magic of Christmas

The “Magic of Christmas” is a computerized light display synchronized to music and broadcast on 98.5 FM. This magical display features thousands of lights, an animated train, animated drumming soldiers, an animated 3-piece band, animated children with bells, a 25-foot mega tree, snowmen, leaping arches, lighted trees, strobes and more. Kids love it and parents do too!

The Marshall Family Christmas Lights
Nov. 28 - Jan. 6
Time: 5:30-10 pm on school nights and until 11 pm other nights
Admission: Free, donations for charity accepted
Location: 620 N Stratford Lane, Wichita, KS 67206
Join one local family as they bring the excitement of The Marshall Family Christmas Lights to east Wichita. With a Christmas performance beginning daily at 5:30 p.m., stop by and remember to tune in to 91.7 FM to hear the Christmas music that matches the lights. The display features more than 140,000 lights – all synchronized to music – and is free, but all donations go to support the Lord’s Diner and St. Anthony Family Shelter in Wichita.

The "Griswold" House of Rose Hill

The "Griswold House" of Rose Hill features an over-the-top display open until 10 p.m. Sundays through Thursdays and until midnight Fridays and Saturdays.

Lights on Lockwood

See this static display complete with 40,000 lights and homemade features, including a giant wreath, Christmas train and more nightly from sundown until 10 p.m.

Lights of Midtown

See this festive display in the heart of Wichita. The garden railroad operates nightly beginning Dec. 15th.

Lights of on Jennie St.
Beginning Thanksgiving Day

Enjoy seeing 25,000 lights dancing to music nightly from 6-10 p.m.

Hanneman Holiday Lights

See the holiday lights named the best residential light display by the City of Andover in 2024. This display, spread across two homes, features nearly 30,000 synchronized lights, a 24-foot-tall tree, spotlights and more. Tune in to 89.5 FM.

Mason Family Christmas

Brown Family Christmas

Enjoy these old-fashioned holiday lights featuring more than 1/2 an acre of vintage plywood displays, as well as light displays formally seen on Park Place and at Wichita's popular Lights on St. Paul at The Arc.

Come say hi to Bumble standing just over 9 feet tall as he greets you in a friendly way. Carolers are also displayed in the front window - inspired by department store Christmas displays.

Bickel Family Christmas
