Where can I stay close to the tournament and fan zones?

Is there free parking downtown?
Yes, there are places where you can park for free as well as many pay-to-park options for a range of fees. Parking lots and special transportation routes are being made available for the tournament. Get more information on tournament parking and transportation options.
Can I bring my dog to fan zones?
Dogs are welcome at Fan Fest at Naftzger Park. A bark park is located on the south end of the park. Visitors may also have their dogs in the park as long as they keep them on leashes at all times and follow the posted rules. There are also many pet-friendly establishments in town.
What are the public drinking laws in Wichita?
The public is allowed to drink outside at licensed establishments with designated drinking areas but may not transport liquor walking around the downtown area or outside of these licensed establishments.
What are the Wichita laws on conceal and carry?
Kansas is a state in which people do not have to carry a permit in order to conceal-carry legal weapons. Weapons may not be carried into any state or local governmental building or wherever there are signs showing "no weapons are permitted."
Where can I find a place to feed/breastfeed my baby?
According to state law, a woman may breastfeed wherever she is allowed to be. All establishments are encouraged to provide a safe, comfortable environment should a mother choose to breastfeed there.

What does Wichita's flag mean?
Wichita’s flag, adopted in 1937, features three red and white rays extending from a blue sun with the Native American symbol for home, or hogan. The blue circle represents happiness and contentment at home, while the rays symbolize paths for the freedom to come and go as one pleases. The name Wichita comes from the Wichita people, a Native American tribe that historically inhabited the Great Plains region.

Where can I work out during my stay?
Many hotels offer fitness centers. But if you aren't staying in a hotel, don't stress. Wichita has multiple YMCA branches throughout the city, including a state-of-the-art fitness center downtown, offering the perfect place to sweat it out during games. If you don't have a membership to the YMCA, you can pay a daily visitor's fee. Runners will enjoy the miles of paved trails and scenic views along the Arkansas River in downtown Wichita.
What is the Keeper of the Plains?
The Keeper of the Plains is a 44-foot-tall monument resurrected to honor the native tribes from the area. It was donated by Native Amerian artist Blackbear Bosin and stands overlooking the city as its greatest protector.
